Drowned man’s body recovered after 12 days

RAJOURI, Nov 27: The dead body of a 27-year-old young man, who drowned in Rajouri river near Saranoo 12 days ago, was recovered today.
Official sources said that a local namely- Ranjeet Singh, son of Natha Ram of Saranoo village age, who had drowned in the river in Sarano area of Rajouri, his body could be found after 12 days. The SDRF and Army started rescue operation on large scale from day one and on day twelve his body was found in the river and some of his belongings including clothes and mobile phone were found on the basis of which sniffer dog was also used in rescue operation.
Different teams were constituted to search of his dead body and finally the body was found today from river. On the occasion teams of SDRF, Army and Police including SHO Rajouri Inspector Farid Ch were present. The police has registered a case in this connection. The family was suspecting some foul play behind the death.
