DODA, July 7: Police arrested a driver for smuggling bovine animals.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Doda police station laid a naka at Ghat road and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK06-7929.
During checking, police rescued 8 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who has been identified as Pervaiz Ahmed, son of Dost Mohammad, a resident of Dandi Bhalla.
A case under FIR Number 143/17 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Raghbir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
