UDHAMPUR, Feb 14: A driver was arrested for overloading in passenger vehicle by the traffic police national Highway here today.
The information in this regard was provided by SSP NHW, Rohit Baskotra.
He said, continuing our drive against overloading in passenger vehicles Traffic Police registered an FIR against a driver for overloading and endangering human lives at Udhampur.
Traffic Police team lead by DySP Arun Jamwal while traffic checking at Roun Domail, intercepted a bus bearing registration number JK02BN5277 on way from Ramnagar and found that the bus was overloaded with passengers and was carrying 72 passengers instead a seating capacity of 41 Passengers.
On this, a case FIR 76/2022 US 279,336 IPC registered at Police station Udhampur and driver namely Sunil Kumar S/O Bishan Dass R/O Kagote, Ramnagar arrested in case FIR for rash driving, negligence and endangering human lives.
