JAMMU, Feb 7: Human Rights Council of India (HRCI)-a registered body with Government of India (GoI) appointed Dr NC Prabhakar as National president of the Council, here today.
Dr Prabhakar is a dedicated member of the HRCI vide I.D No.INDJK-HRC-11008, dated 02.02.2022.
The basic objective of the Council is to protect the interest of the common man and struggle towards creating a better world. Dr Prabhakar is a retired Government officer and associated with social activities being a life member for the Sehyog India, IIPA and Youth Hostel Association of India.
He also served the GoI, Ministry of Rural Development as National level Monitor for five years and remained associated with Voluntary Health Association of India and International Union for TB for Tobacco Control Programme and Consultant for National Rural Livelihood Mission and recently, he has been engaged by the Anti-Corruption Foundation of India as chairman of J&K UT.
