Dr Karan Singh inaugurates reconstructed Shiv temple at Kankhal

JAMMU, Mar 18: The Chief Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust, Dr Karan Singh, MP, inaugurated the reconstructed old Shiv Mandir at Kankhal, Haridwar.
The reconstruction of the old temple was taken up under the supervision of Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust. The expenditure for the reconstruction of the temple is incurred by the Dharamarth Trust.
On the occasion of inauguration of the rebuilt temple, Dr Karan Singh announced opening of a Dharamkand training Pathashla in the temple premises.  The Pathshala is named after Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi, the late wife of Dr Karan Singh. The students who will be imparted training in conducting Dharamkand at the Pathshala will be lodged in Jammu Yatri Bhawan premises, Haridwar, where they will also be provided food, free of cost. This was announced by Pawan Shastri, president Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust.
The others who were present in the function included Shashi Khajuria, Secretary Dharamarth Trust,  V Shrinivasan Advisior,  Pawan Shastri, president Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Gurudas Sharma Trustee general secretary Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust and Sardari Lal Pandotra Trustee vice-president Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust.
