SRINAGAR, Sept 20: High Court today directed the Managing Director and General Manager JK Cements Limited, Jammu, not to issue final selection list of different posts in the corporation till next hearing.
A Single Bench of High Court comprising Jusitce Tashi Rabstan directed the corporation to entertain the application forms of petitioners for skilled posts advertised by the corporation.
“Allow the candidates to appear in the interview at their own risk and responsibility without any rights following out of such participation in their favour,” the Bench said.
Hearing a petition filed by three candidates from Khrew, Pulwama, who have sought quashing of the advertisement and prohibiting the coprpration form making any appointment on these posts, the court passed these directions.
The petitioners challenged the the advertisement issued by the corporation in which 87 posts were advertised for mini-cement plant in Samba district in Jammu region, claiming the plant is yet in the process and is not likely to function in near future.
The petitioners also alleged that the advertisement was not properly circulated and candidates possessing desired skilled qualification were excluded for applying for these posts to accommodate the “favourites.”
