Donate in Relief Fund: JKSAC to DPs

JAMMU, Mar 31: Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) today appreciated the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for his timely decision to lockdown India in totality to save the country from the fast spreading onslaught of the deadly virus COVID-19.
It was stated by the president of the Committee, Gurdev Singh with the consultation of all districts and tehsil units through social media and the JKSAC also appealed to displaced persons (DPs) of 1947 from the Pak Occupied Kashmir to donate judiciously in Government Relief Fund to help the needy and poor people in this hour of unprecedented crisis.
He also appealed the DPs to strictly adhere the advisory issued by Government of India and as well as state administration particularly to maintain social distancing even while going out and staying at home.
Singh demanded that more quarantine centres should be established in far flung districts with the required infrastructures so that suspected or infected persons could not carry the infection while reaching the quarantine centre established by the Government from their far off places.
He also said that the Government should fix the rates of all the essential food commodities including vegetables and fruits at par fixed by administration of Noida ( UP), because the exorbitant rates are being charged from the public by the vegetable and fruit vendors.
