JAMMU, Dec 16: Dogri translation of world classic of Shakespeare “Julius Caesar” has found place in the Shakespeare Centre’ Henley Street Stratford, UK, the birthplace of the great playwright of English literature.
Dogri translation of “Julius Caesar” by well known name in literary and cultural circles Madan Gopal Padha is being displayed in the reading room of Shakespeare Centre.
Earlier the book was catalogued in the Shakespeare Institute, a research and postgraduate centre within the University of Birmingham, Stratford, UK making it accessible on-line world over.
The creative translation work published by Sarswati Prakashan, Surya Vihar Jammu, has brought the classic work of William Shakespeare to the wide Dogri readership and it is also expected that now this play will be staged.
