DLL organizes career counselling programme at Sanskrit Deptt

JAMMU, Aug 31: Employment Information cum Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu,  today organized a special lecture on “Counselling and Careers” in PG. Department of Sanskrit, University of Jammu.
Dr Varun Tripathi, Head, School of Philosophy and Culture, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra was the special resource person. Prof Ramnika Jalali, former head, Dr Kedar Nath Sharma, HOD, Department of Sanskrit, Dr Kavita Suri, Director, DLL, Prof. Sushma Devi, Prof. Ram Nath Shukla, Dr Pratibha, Dr Vidya Dhar, Dr Satpriya Arya, all faculty members of the department and Dr Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB, DLL were present in the inaugural function.
Dr Varun Tripathi, in a detailed presentation, highlighted the opportunities available for the students of Sanskrit.
Prof. Kedar Nath Sharma, while welcoming the guests, said that Department of Lifelong Learning is really doing a great job by helping the students to know more than their regular options. Dr Kavita Suri said that the objective of organizing such type of programmes in different colleges and departments of the University is to make the students aware about the various career avenues available for them in near future.
Vote of thanks was presented by Prof Ramnika Jalali. The programme was conducted by Dr Shukla and coordinated by Dr Rewa Khajuria. About 60 PG students besides M Phil and Ph D scholars attended the programme.
