District Volleyball tournament inaugurated

KARGIL, Oct 27: Ladakh Spikers Volleyball Club Kargil organised District Volleyball tournament in collaboration with Skarchen Welfare Association Latoo at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium, here today.
About 22 teams of both Kargil and Ladakh districts are participating in the first District level Volleyball tournament which was inaugurated by President of District Olympic Association Kargil (DOAK) and Ladakh Volleyball Association, Haji Mirza Hussain.
Syed Mehrajuddin Shah, secretary DOAK was also present along with the organizers of the tournament.
Haji Mirza Hussain reiterated that DOAK will be on the forefront to help the players in all the form and will also work for the welfare and development of sports and sportspersons in the region.
He further said that in the upcoming winter season, they are planning to organize ‘Winter Sports’ at a big level. The organizers of the tournament thanked the participating teams and dignitaries who graced the inaugural function.
