POONCH, Dec 25: District Poonch Women Hockey Championship gets underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
The Championship is being organised by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
The first match of the three match series was played between Power House Hockey Club and GHSS Club Poonch.
Power House Hockey Club won the match by three goals to nil (3-0).
Saneha scored one goal in 6th minute and Urvashi scored two goals in 25th and 55th minutes of the match.
Harpreet Kour, Councillor Ward No 14 was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others present were Nidosh Kumar Manager Sports Stadium Poonch, JE Rajesh Kumar, Ravinder Singh Senior Hockey Player, Sourab Sharma, Ramprakash and Rajinder Singh.
The matches were officiated by Sunil Raina, Sanjeev Kumar, Vishal Sudan and Shaid.
The Championship is being organised under the technical supervision of Pawan Kumar Hockey Coach.
