KATHUA, Nov 29: District Level Cycling Championship was organised by J&K Cycling Association at Sports Stadium, here today.
In under-12 (boys), Harsh Vardhan stood 1st while Jatinder Bawa clinched 2nd place and Aarav Suri succeeded to win 3rd position, whereas in under-14 (boys), Nishant Badyal bagged 1st position while Ranchan secured 2nd position and Kumar Kartik clinched 3rd position.
In under-17 (boys) Paras stood 1st while Shivam Singh clinched 2nd place and Sahil Kumar bagged 3rd place, whereas in under-14 (girls) Rashi Sharma stood 1st, Saundarya Rajput clinched 2nd position, and Akriti Gupta bagged 3rd place.
In under-17 (girls) Sub-junior, Tania secured 1st place, Vishali Andotra secured 2nd place and Sakshi Verma bagged 3rd place, whereas in Senior (boys) Harsh Tomar bagged 1st position, Tushar clinched 2nd position and Sumit Sharma bagged 3rd place.
Rakesh Katyal was the chief guest of the event who declared open the championship. A large number of cyclists from the Kathua district took part in the championship in various age groups and exhibited their talent.
The event was held under the supervision by Ravinder Singh president, SS Gill general secretary, Om Parkash associate secretary, Ravi Salgotra treasurer, Sharat Chander Singh general secretary of J&K Athletic Association, Nirmaljit Singh and other office bearers of the Association.
