Leh, June 13: District Bar Association, Leh, successfully conducted elections for its executive body on Saturday at the District Court Complex, Leh.
The polling process was held peacefully and witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Bar. Several key posts witnessed closely contested elections, reflecting the strong democratic spirit and active engagement of the legal fraternity in the district.
Following the completion of voting and counting of votes under the supervision of the Election Committee, Adv. Gombo Stobgail was elected as President, Adv. Stanzin Dawa as Vice-President (Male), Adv. Deachan Angmo as Vice-President (Female), Adv. Rigzen Angmo as General Secretary, Adv. Nisar Hussain as Joint Secretary, and Adv. Lobzang Angdus as Cashier/Treasurer of the Association.
The newly elected office-bearers expressed gratitude to the members of the Association for reposing faith in them and pledged to work collectively for the welfare of advocates, uphold the dignity of the legal profession, and address important issues including chamber infrastructure, member welfare schemes, and professional development.
