JAMMU, Nov 26: The J&K-UT Jammu District Masters Athletics Championship was conducted by Masters Athletics Association here today. There were about 50 athletes from Jammu District taking part in this competition.
In the 100 meter run (Women category), 1st Seema Kharyal, 2nd Shobna Kumari and 3rd Ramanjeet Kour. 100 meters (Men category) Ram Paul Kapoor came first. In the 200 meter run Anuradha secured first place while Sonia Sharma came second and 3rd place went to Sonia Singh.
In the 400 meter Parveen Manhas came first, Manmohan Singh stood second and Ankur Basotra came third. In the 800 meter Amerjeet Singh came first. While in long jump Surjit Choudhry came first.
President Abdul Quim, General Secretary Tarseem Lal Basotra and Organizing Secretary Ram Paul Kapoor appreciated all the participants and the winners.
