JAMMU, Apr 9: Amid outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the distribution of ratio and other essential items continued in different areas.
MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas distributed ration and other food items among deserving souls at Panchayat Bhadrode falling under Raipur Domana Constituency. Sarpanch Reena Rakwal, Ex Sarpanch Raghuvir Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
Sanjeev Sharma, PRO to MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh reached out to around 150 slum areas of Vijaypur adopted by BJP Yuva Morcha Vijaypur and provided food to the needy persons. Amar Singh, District President, Shashi Pal, Avtar Singh, Deepak Pagotra Chairman MC Vijaypur, Randhir Sharma, Rahul Vaid and many others also extended their help in this noble cause.
Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation distributed essential food items to the needy people of in Ward Number 1, 2 and 9.
On the directions of President Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha Romesh Gupta, General Secretary Sanjay Mahajan distributed ration to 80 needy families. Others present on the occasion were Rajesh Gupta President Ward Number 32, Aditya Gupta President Ward Number 40, Suraj Gupta, Amit Mahajan, Rohit and Rahul. So far Mahajan Sabha has distributed ration among about 325 needy families of all communities.
Continuing with their drive of distribution of free ration among needy families Bhartiya Janta Party leaders Pankaj Basotra, Chetan Wanchoo and Vishu Sharma distributed free ration to needy families today in area Bhagwati Nagar. More than 300 needy people were benefited with today’s drive. Tehsildar Jammu Ravi Sharma was also present.
President of Dogra Sanghthan Amit Kapoor and Vice- President Ajay Dogra with the help of all the team members and numerous volunteers served food to the needy and stranded people in temples and bus stands.
With the slogan “Serve Humanity-Serve God”, activists of Team Jammu distributed ration and other essential items among nearly 3000 needy and destitute persons in different parts of the city. Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu and many others were present on the occasion.
Braham Jyot Satti, JK UT President BJP OBC Morcha handed over relief ration to the RSS Adhikaris Rajeev Bhardwaj, Mahanagar Bodhik Pramukh Raja Ram, Nagar Karyawah Rakesh Duggal, Mahanagar Geet Pramukh Pardeep Sharma, Mahanagar Shramik Kryawah of Vivekananda Nagar in the presence of Munish Sharma All Morcha Incharge BJP). RSS team will distribute this ration among more than 50 needy families.
Bank of India, Jammu Center, Amritsar Zone under NBG North-I distributed the food items to the poor and needy people at Kashmiri Migrant Colony, Purkhoo Jammu. Chief Manager Puneet Gupta, General Manager Salil Kr Swain, Zonal Manager Vasudev, Harish Khurana, PRO, NBG North-I, Kunal Dogra Senior Branch Manager Jammu Branch, Janak Raj Branch Manager Gangyal and Abhey Mahajan, Credit Manager Satwari were also present on the occasion.
Daily langar is being organized by Sanatan Shreedhra Gaushala Trust (SSGT), Gadi Garh and Youth of Poonchi Colony Rani Bagh, Jammu. Swami Nirmal Swaroop Maharaj, Chairman of the trust, Pt Ashok Khajuria, President, Rajesh Bakshi, Member Cantonment Board, Deputy Kumar, Parveen Sudan, Deepak Khajuria, Govind Raj, Sahil Khajuria, Dr Lalit Sharma, Manmohan Khajuria, Naveen Sharma, Umesh Khajuria, Nikhil Sharma, Pt. Deputy Raina and others were present on the occasion.
Jai Singh Ex Corporator Sainik Colony and his team distributed essential items to the 100 poor people living in Village Deeli and Bachitter Enclave Channi Himmat.
Members of the Patanjali Yoga Samiti distributed rations to the poor families affected by the lock-down in Rajor, a hilly village in district Samba Neelambar Dogra, Samba Head of the Yoga Committee was also present on the occasion.
Panchari Police led by SHO Arun Koul distributed ration at Moungri Headquarter among handicapped people, widow women and poor people. Shamsher Singh Naib-Sarpanch Basnote Moungri, Kernail Singh Naib Sarpanch Kalsote, Suresh Kumar Panch and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Udhampur volunteers distributed ration among needy families at Jhakhar, Omada, MH Road, Birma Bridge and Ghari Paba Gali areas. RSS volunteers of Chenani aria also provided rations to about 45 families in Sudh-Mahadev area.
Vinod Malhotra, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society along with his staff distributed ration and other food items among poor and needy families of Ambphala, Jammu. Ration and hygiene kits were also supplied to Home for Aged and Infirm, Bal Niketan Vaid Mandir and Balgran–a charitable home for destitute children, Channi Rama, Jammu.
The distribution of food items was continued by Honey Gupta, Executive Member of GS Sports Club. Raman Chalotra Tehsildar Bishnah, SHO Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania, Vasu Dubey, Munish Gupta and many others were present on the occasion.
SHO Ramgarh Chaman Gorkha along with team distributed dry ration among 62 labourer and needy families at Ramgarh in District Samba.
To help the needy families during the lockdown, the BJP Pahari Zila Unit Basholi distributed free ration to needy families living in different areas of Basholi in District Kathua. Col Mahan Singh, District President BJP, Pahari Zila along with Harnam Singh, District Vice President, Tejinder Singh Goldy Mandal Pardhan Mahanpur and many others were present on the occasion.
Vichar Kranti Manch International and Confederation of Social, Voluntary and Charitable Organisations distributed ration to the needy and poor 125 families of Beli Charana Jammu. ID Soni, Chief Advisor, SK Jain President, Chander Mohan Sharma General Secretary, Rattan Lal Mahajan Advisor, Abhinandan Jain Financial Advisor and Confederation was represented KS Samyal President, Dr ML Sharma General Secretary, Sanjeev Parihar Treasurer and Rahul Kumar Social Worker supported this noble cause. In an another programme, Giat Nandan Jain Zonal President assisted in distribution of food in Talab Tillo area and Ashok Gupta Vice President VKMI and Trishla Mahajan arranged distribution of ration and essential supplies to the needy people in Channi Himmat areas.
Government Railway Police Kashmir organized relief camp at GRPS Baramulla and distributed essential food items among the destitute families of Baramulla
A team headed by DO Khurhama along with Goonj (NGO) distributed foodstuffs among poor people of the area
Sogam Police along with Block Chairman Sogam distributed food items among the widows and labourers at Gangbuk Sogam area of Lolab in District Kupwara.
Omar Educational and Welfare Trust distributed ration to 20 needy families in four panchayats in Tehsil Chilly Pingal of District Doda. Chairman of the Trust Ishtyak Malik was also present on the occasion.
Pritam Spiritual Foundation led by its Founder President Prof Jagbir Singh with Pritpal Singh Senior Trustee, Er Rydhampreet Singh Vice President of the Trust distributed ration and eatable to the most needy families of Dara Dullain Village of Haveli Tehsil in District Poonch District in presence of Naib Sarpanch of the village Harvinder Singh.
