Distribution of ration among needy continues amid lockdown

JAMMU, Apr 10: Distribution of ration among needy persons continues amid lockdown in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Reaching out to the poorest and the needy in this lockdown due to Corona Virus, J&K Bank Zonal Head Jammu Central I Sunit Kumar distributed dry ration to the homeless labourers and daily wagers. The distribution of such items was undertaken on the directions of the Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Kumar Chhibber. Notably, Zonal Head Jammu Central I distributed ration among 170 poor families during this drive.
Youth Congress President J&K Uday Bhanu Chib distributed home made masks to the local people of Paloura Jammu. Youth Congress is distributing these kind of masks in 6 districts of J&K which includes Jammu Urban, Jammu Rural, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Ramban. Till today Youth Congress has distributed near about 10 thousand masks in J&K.
All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha distributed ration and food items to the needy at village Rehal, Bishnah. President of the Sabha FC Bhagat and many others were present on the occasion.
Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thack-eray Jammu and Kashmir Unit distributed ration to 100 peoples at Bari Brahmana. Party State President Manish Sahni, Secretary Raj Singh,
Joint Secretary Raju Salaria and Pawan Singh were present on the occasion.
Industrial Association of Battal Ballian District Udhampur provided ration to needy families at Jaghanoo. Udavir Singh, Raghuveer Gandotra, Sukhdev Singh, Pradeep Wakshi, Ravindar Thakur, Sanjeev Sharma, Vinu Varma, Sushil Sharma and many others were present on the occasion.
Employees of Electric Division-I and Sub Division-1 of Power Distribution Corporation Limited (PDD) under the Support Er PD Singh Executive Engineer, Er Sardari LaL AEE, Er Narotam Sharma and Er Raj Pal AE distributed ration to approximate 120 needy people of Channi Rama and Sainik Colony areas. Those present were Varinder Chalotra, Subash Chander, Koushal Sharma, Subash Pandey and Avinash Uttam all Junior Engineers along with field staff.
Rashtriya Swaya-msevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers distributed ration among needy families at Satani, Jib and Rehambal area of District Udhampur.
SET INDIA in collaboration with Mother Helpage J&K distributed essential commodities to 25 slum families at Channi Himmat. Rajesh Sharma, Chairperson of SET INDIA, Varinder Kumar, Naveen Sharma and Kuldeep Raj were also present on the occasion.
Mendhar Police with the help of NGO distributed ten days ration to thirty displaced laborers families in the Saladeed Nallah area of Mendhar Sub Division in Poonch district. Neeraj Padyar, SDPO Mendhar, members of the NGO, SHO Mendhar Inspector Naveen Angral and many others were present on the occasion.
Kushal Sharma, a social worker and Chairman Gou Raksha Organization is providing food on daily basis to poor and needy people. He is also providing feed for the cattle. Cricketer Raman Thaploo and Monu were also present.
KP Corona Fighters distributed ration to BPL families in different areas of Jammu under the guidance of social activists Vikram Koul and Ashwani Sadhu. Others who contribute for this social cause were Dr Susheel Wattal, Bimal Raina, Ramesh Koul, Ashok Raina, Sandeep Tickoo, Sunny Mohan Sadhu.
SDPO AKHNOOR, Ajay Sharma, Coy Commander Mr Juneja of 246 CISF stationed at Police Station Akhnoor, SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pardeep Sharma, concerned beat officer and officials of 246 CISF under the supervision of SP Rural Jammu Suram Singh distributed ration among the stranded labourers from Gurgasspur, Bihar and Haryana. Ration was also distributed among the disabled persons.
DySP Headquarters Jammu and SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Jasrotia distributed door to door dry ration to needy people in Chand Nagar and adjoining areas.
