JAMMU, Mar 20: DIG Udhampur-Reasi range Gareeb Dass today reviewed election preparedness and other security arrangements for Parliamentary elections.
The detailed security arrangements and other preparedness for the smooth and peaceful conduct of Parliamentary elections were discussed Assembly segment wise.
Gareeb Dass directed all territorial officers to accelerate preventive policing measures to generate conducive atmosphere in the area well advance for smooth and peaceful conduct of the Parliamentary elections
Places for various major rallies and ensuring security of the candidates were also highlighted. The other administrative arrangements which are required to be made regarding accommodation for the security forces, transport and logistics were also discussed in detail in the meeting.
Among others, all SDPOs and SHOs of district Udhampur apart from M S Choudhary, SSP Udhampur and Khalil Poswal, Additional Udhampur also attended the meeting.
Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat would go to polls on April 17.
