DIG rewards 11 SHOs for outstanding anti-drug performance

JAMMU, June 9: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shridhar Patil, has awarded cash rewards and IInd Class Certificates to 11 Station House Officers (SHOs) for their outstanding performance under the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan.
The recognition comes in view of the significant achievements recorded by Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts during the first 50 days of the anti-drug campaign.
The rewarded officers include the SHOs of Police Stations Bahu Fort, Bakshi Nagar, Vijaypur, Billawar, Kathua, Rajbagh, Hiranagar, Bani, Bari Brahmana, Samba and Janipur.
Appreciating the efforts of the police officers, the DIG commended the officers for their professionalism, dedication and proactive role in curbing drug trafficking and promoting awareness against substance abuse.
He said the fight against drugs remains a top priority for Jammu Police and called upon all officers to continue their efforts to make society drug-free.
Jammu and Kashmir Police reiterated its commitment to the vision of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir through strict action against drug peddlers and sustained awareness programmes, particularly among the youth.
