POONCH, Apr 10: In the back drop of the recent militants attacks in Kathua and Samba districts, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajouri-Poonch Range AK Atri reviewed the security arrangements during a meeting at district police headquarters here today.
The meeting was attended by SSP Poonch Jatinder Singh Johar and all the supervisory officers/SHOs and other sister agencies working in the district Poonch.
At the outset, SSP Poonch Jatinder Singh Johar gave a detailed account of the security scenario of the district and the security grid chalked out by the district police to handle any eventuality.
DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range emphasized upon the officers to make a comprehensive plan in coordination with all sister agencies and adopt meaningful measures to overcome the menace of terrorism.
He exhorted the district police and intelligence agencies to synergise their efforts and resources for meaningful actions on ground. He also stressed upon the officers to lay dynamic check points on Highway on Mughal Road which will open shortly for meaningful checking in order to avoid smuggling of narcotic, contrabands and bovines on this route.
