RAMBAN, Aug 24: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range Dr Sunil Gupta today inaugurated a Mini Nest at Karol here.
This mini nest built by NHAI is having roadside facilities including canteen, passenger shed, rest rooms for men and women. It was off late taken over by District Police Ramban to operate it on no profit and no loss basis.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Police Ramban has taken this initiative for the welfare of families of martyrs who have laid down their precious lives in the service of this nation. The profit accrued out of this venture would be shared with the families of martyrs.
DIG DKR on this occasion while appreciating the efforts of District Police Ramban particularly SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma said, “This brain child of SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma will certainly contribute a lot to the welfare of destitute families of our martyrs and it will also provide sigh of relief to the defence personnel and civilian who regularly commute on this National Highway.”
Besides, SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma, other dignitaries in the inaugral function included Chairman MC Ramban Sunita Sumberya, DDC member Renuka Katoch, ADC Ramban Harbans Lal, ASP Ramban Rajni Sharma and members of civil society.
