DGPC Kathua celebrates Parkash Purav of Guru Granth Sahib

KATHUA, Sept 1: District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Kathua organised a Gurmat Smagam on the eve of first Parkash Purav of Guru Granth Sahib with religious fervour at Gurudwara Singh Sabha main Bazar here on Tuesday.

In Kirtan Darwar Bibi Amandeep Kour recited heart touching Gurbani Kirtan and created a religious atmosphere by chanting Waheyguru Waheyguru. Bhai Jagdev Singh Parcharak from Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Amritsar delivered a lecture on the completion of Guru Granth Sahib. He said Guru Arjun Dev completed first time Guru Granth Sahib in 1604 and established Guru Granth Sahib at Darwar Sahib, Amritsar for performing daily routine basis religious activities . He also explained about the importance of Guru Granth Sahib.

Bhai Baljeet Singh Hajoori Ragi District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Kathua also recited Kirtan during Smagam.

Parveen Singh general secretary of District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, Kathua said that we all are lucky that we have a secular religious Granth that is Guru Granth Sahib. The teaching of Guru Granth Sahib is meant for all. He said we all should study the Guru Granth Sahib for unity in diversity.

Charanjit Singh, president of District Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee also stressed to follow the teaching of Guru Granth Sahib and do good for the welfare of the society. He complimented all the participated Sangat.

Dr . Bharat Bhushan, MLA Kathua also bowed down and addressed the Sangat on this special day. He praised the work culture of DGPC Kathua for the development of Guru Sahib and their services.

Kuldeep Singh, vice president, Daljeet Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ishpal Singh, Amrik Singh, Tarlochan Singh, Amarjeet Sing,Karnail Singh, Satwinder Singh, Prithipal Singh, Satvir Singh and other were present during the Smagam. Lastly after Ardas Guru ka Langer was served.
