JAMMU, Mar 5: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar decorated the newly promoted officers in a function held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today.
The officers who were decorated include Uttam Chand, Sargun and Sandeep Choudhary.
Uttam Chand, a 2002 batch IPS officer has been promoted and posted as DIG North Kashmir Range Baramulla. He has also worked as SDPO Shopian, SP South Srinagar, SP Kupwara, SP CID CIK, SSP Budgam, Jammu and AIG CIV PHQ.
Ms. Sargun, 2012 batch IPS officer has now been posted as Additional SP, Bhadarwah on her promotion to the Senior Time Scale of IPS.
Likewise, Sandeep Choudh-ary, 2012 batch IPS officer has been promoted to Senior Times Scale and posted as SP South Srinagar.
On the occasion, Mr. Rajendra exhorted the officers to make innovative efforts to ensure better service deliverance to the people. He said that security of the people and integrity of the nation should be priority and dedicated efforts should be made to live up to the expectations of the people
Among others, the piping ceremony was attended by IGP Technical (PHQ), HK Lohia, Director SSG, SA Mujtaba, DIG, Syed Kifayat Rezvi and other police officers.
