DGP briefed about shooters of J&K

JAMMU, Aug 30: Director General of J&K Police, Dilbag Singh, the Chairman and the Chief patron of J&K Rifle Association was briefed about the new upcoming shooters in different categories from J&K by the office bearers of the J&K Rifle Association, here today.
The DGP appreciated the achievements of the shooters of J&K and hoped that they would continue to bring laurels to UT and the Nation in future as well. He also took stock of all the upcoming Shooting tournaments and events in the district and national levels.
He further appreciated the team management and hard work put in by all members of J&K Rifle Association and encouraged them for full utilization of the available shooting ranges in J&K for grooming of the promising players from J&K for competing at the international level successfully.
It is pertinent to mention here that under the guidance of DGP Dilbag Singh many new Shooting Ranges and Shooting Clubs have come up in J&K, which shows that that J&K is fast developing into a favourite sports hub of the players in the country.
On behalf of all members of JKRA, president Kuldeep Singh Jamwal and treasurer, SS Sodhi thanked DGP for his useful guidance and for extending his valuable support to the promising shooters of J&K in different categories.
They also expressed gratitude to LG Manoj Sinha and the Administration of J&K for supporting sports and games in UT and encouraging sportsmen in all fields to display their talent in sports like shooting.
