JAMMU, July 27: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta, held a protest in Bishnah against PDD over excessive power curtailment in the area.
The protesting activists also gheraoed the office of the concerned AEE of the PDD. They alleged that areas of Bishnah and RS Pura are facing worst power crisis, as power curtailment of about 22 hours per day is being imposed on them, which has made the lives of people nothing more than a living hell.
They said that today we are talking about Digital India and Smart India but areas of Bishnah and RS Pura don’t have the basic facility such as electricity. Later, after the assurance of the AEE that he will move mountains to provide electricity, he was freed from the gherao.
