JAMMU, Jan 18: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF&SS) took out a protest rally against the encroachers of JDA land in Roop Nagar here today.
The activists of DF&SS led by President Ashok Gupta held protest and raised slogans against encroachers.
It is pertinent to mention here that in a joint operation, the District Administration Jammu retrieved about 41 kanals of prime JDA land at Sector Number 6, in Upper Roop Nagar area of Jammu North.
While speaking, Gupta said that political parties are playing petty politics over the entire matter and are trying to give it a communal shape.
The land belongs to Jammu Development Authority and was auctioned in 2014, he said, adding that the said land was encroached since past 2 to 3 decades and than in 2014 the land was auctioned by the JDA to the locals through a transparent process and a case was filed in the court whose ruling was to allot the possession to the allottees.
He said that leaders like Mehbooba Mufti and other political parties are supporting the encroachers.
Among others present were Birbal, Ashish, Sushil, Sampuran, Bantu, Prem, Kalu, Fauji, Lovely, Brij, Ashok, etc.
