KISHTWAR, May 14: Seeking public cooperation to fulfill the endeavor of the Government to reach out to the neglected and ignored areas of the State, People’s Democratic Party MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak, asserted that the present regime is keen to develop backward and far-flung areas of the State.
Tak who was on his six-day tour of the Dacchan range today, addressed a series of public gatherings. Addressing a public meeting at villages of Dacchan including Resri and Suid in Kishtwar district, Tak stressed that extending basic amenities like road connectivity, electricity, drinking water, healthcare and education to all the people of the State is the priority of the Government.
He said that State Government has initiated various developmental projects for better economic, social and education development of the people. He said development of rural belts of the State shall continue to remain a top priority for the Government and administration must focus attention towards these areas.
Tak affirms that the development of far-flung areas is the prime and foremost priority of the present Government and every possible step is being taken for achieving this purpose. He said that PDP Government led by Mehbooba Mufti is committed for improving and upgrading the existing infrastructure with regard to roads, health infrastructure, water supply, educational uplifting, jobs and power projects.
The MLC further said that a huge network of educational and health institutions have been woven round the State especially in far-flung areas so that the people of these areas can reap the benefits of development in a better way.
“With regard to tourist infrastructure, Mufti Government is committed to utilize the potential of tourism like Marwah, Warwan, Dacchan and Padder areas for the tourists of world”, he said, adding that Government is aimed for attracting more and more tourists to this place and improving facilities for them.
However, highlighting several welfare programmes and schemes to bring a healthy change in the living condition of poor and needy, Tak asked the departmental functionaries to make their sincere efforts in ensuring the benefits of State and Centrally sponsored schemes reach to the targeted population.
