JAMMU, Jan 9: A one-day comprehensive dental and eye checkup camp was held today at the Frontier Hospital BSF (Jammu) for the BSF troops and their family members.
The Camp was organized by Dr K S Kumar DIG (Medical) and Dr Lokeshwar (Deputy Commandant) BSF Paloura, in association with Dr Azhar Malik (HoD, PG Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics and Public Health Dentistry Department, IGGDC Jammu) and a team of Ophthalmologists led by Dr Anuj Jain.
During the camp, more than 100 patients were examined by the team of expert doctors comprising of Dr Rachna Dhani, Dr Shamim Anjum, Dr Rudra Koul, Dr Kanchan Bhagat under the guidance of Dr Rakesh K Gupta (Principal, IGGDC Jammu), delivering healthcare services in both the specialties at the doorsteps of the patients.
Free samples of toothpastes and toothbrushes were distributed and medicines were also given to needy patients. Dr Rahul Gupta (Orthodontist) did the screening of the school children at BSF Public School Paloura. A general lecture about the importance and maintenance of oral hygiene and eye care was also delivered.
