RAMBAN, Sept 29: The decomposed body of a female has been recovered from Baglihar Dam’s reservoir, here.
As per police sources, some passerby noticed a female body floating in the Baglihar Dam’s reservoir and informed the police.
On getting information, police team from Chanderkote Police Station rushed to the spot and fished out the body from the reservoir with the help of SDRF team and motor boats.
The decomposed body of the woman identified as Mamta Devi (29), wife of Amreek Singh, a resident of Tehsil Gandoh, District Doda has been shifted to morgue of District Hospital Ramban for autopsy. The woman drowned in river Chenab on August 29 this year.
Chanderkote Police has taken cognizance in this regards.
