POONCH, May 5: A decomposed body of a missing villager was recovered from Dhalara area in district Poonch on Sunday morning.
A senior police official said that some locals this morning found a decomposed dead body of male, probably in the age group of 57-58 years, lying near river bank at Dhalara village.
A police team reached immediately to the spot and took the body in its possession and shifted it to District Hospital, Poonch for identification and postmortem. The deceased was later identified as Munir Hussain, resident of Dingla village. A father of nine children (8 daughters and one son), he was missing since April 19, 2019, the officer said.
The officer further said that in this connection, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated at concerned Police Station.
