JAMMU, May 16: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited observed Swachh Bharat Pakhwada from 1st May to 16th May 2016 in its all offices falling under Northern Region Transmission System-II.
Debates, lectures and seminars marked the culmination of Pahkwada in entire Northern region.
During this Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, several programmes were organized in various schools and colleges apart from site offices for creating awareness among the general masses, youth, employees and their family members highlighting effects cleanliness has on our lives.
On the concluding day, a seminar was organized at Powergrid Regional Headquarters at Jammu where Simrandeep Singh, DC Jammu , Anil Jain Executive Director Northern Region-II and senior officers of Powergrid, Northern Region-II were present.
On this occasion Dr. Neelika Arora delivered a presentation on the effects of Swachh Bharat and through vivid presentations explained the importance of cleanliness in our lives. In his address, Simrandeep Singh, DC Jammu presented a detail of steps being taken by Jammu district administration to ensure a cleaner and Greener Jammu. Earlier Anil Jain Executive Director Powergrid welcomed the dignitaries and presented a brief detail of activities undertaken by Powergrid during this Pakhwada.
