Death anniversaries of Sadiq, Qasim observed

JAMMU, Dec 12: Pradesh Congress Committee leaders and workers paid their rich tributes to former J&K Chief Ministers G M Sadiq, Sayed Mir Qasim and former Minister G N Mir Lasjan.
In a meeting held at the party headquarters Shahidi Chowk here today under the chairmanship of senior vice president of PCC Dharam Pal Sharma (Ex-MP), several senior leaders and others paid their tributes to these top Congress leaders.
While paying tributes, the speakers described Sadiq, as most competent and an able administrator who gave corruption free and efficient administration to the people of State. He played an important role to further cement the State-Centre relationship and brought J&K more closer to rest of the country by taking several important decisions and constitutional measures.
They said Mr Sadiq was a revolutionary and most honest leader whose thoughts, policies, and programmes are relevant and most guiding factors for all the times to come. He was first Congress Chief Minister of J&K and his tenure is remembered even today as an exemplary one in terms of clean and efficient administration.
The leaders also remembered the services of Sayed Mir Qasim and Mir Lasjan and described them the best administrators who always cared for people and kept their interests above all.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Th Hari Singh, S Gurmukh Singh, Mula Ram, Ravinder Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Kanta Bhan, C L Bhat, K L Gupta, Bharat Gandhi, Lalita Sharma, D S Langeh, Manmohan Singh, Santosh Majotra and Hari Singh Chib.
