RAMBAN, Oct 14: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz accompanied by concerned officers conducted whirlwind tour of Patnitop and Sanasar areas.
The DC also chaired a meeting to discuss measures for further development and exploitation of tourism potential of scenic Sanasar.
The team of officers inspected the road sites from Patnitop to Sanasar and identified number of locations where immediate repair is required. Pertinently first 10 kilometre road to Sanasar is being maintained by BECON and rest is with under PWD.
While chairing meeting at Sanasar, the DDC asked the concerned agencies to repair the road immediately to make it traffic worthy. The CEO Patnitop Development Authority was asked to segregate all footpaths and animal routes by proper fencing.
The DDC also stressed on dredging of Sanasar lake to remove the widely grown weed besides proper fencing of golf course ground.
He directed the concerned authorities to maintain cleanliness in and around the Sanasar areas by exploiting different sanitation techniques.
Meanwhile, the DDC instructed for imposing complete ban on carrying polythene material to the tourist destinations to prevent accumulation of garbage. He also directed the officers of Tourism, Forest and Revenue Departments to work in tandem to provide every facility to the visitors who are coming to enjoy the scenic view of Sanasar throughout the year.
Later, the DDC redressed grievances raised by the locals who met him in deputations.
DDC was accompanied by CEO PDA, R.K Sarangal, Tehsildar Batote, Srinath Suman, OC GREF K K Aggarwal, Executive Engineer, PWD, S S Aandhi, DFO Batote Amrik Singh and AD Tourism.
