UDHAMPUR, Nov 7: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Yasha Mudgal, in a public grievances redressal camp convened here today, was apprised of the popular demand of village Chak-Rakwalan regarding railway crossing between Chak and Patiala. She assured that the demand would be fulfilled in due course of time by approaching the Railway authorities.
The inhabitants of the area feel that with the construction of railway crossing thousands of people would be benefited and their hardships would be mitigated to great extent. The prominent people of the area alleged that they have approached the Deputy Chief Engineer of Railway concerned many times but in vain.
Responding to the demands, the DDC assured that railway authorities would be approached for conceding the long pending demand of the local populace. She directed the officers concerned to mitigate the sufferings of the people on priority. The DDC also stressed upon the officers to work with dedication, sincerity and redress the genuine grievances of the people pertaining to their respective departments within the time frame.
Other demands of the people of the area included construction of over bridge nullah at Nuddle, regular power and water supply, filling of vacant posts in Health and Education Department., land compensation, upgradation of schools.
