DDC conducts extensive tour of remote area

UDHAMPUR, Feb 5:  With a view to monitor the status and progress of developmental works being executed by different departments, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal conducted an extensive tour of remote and hilly  block Ramnagar and Ghordi  in district  Udhampur, here today.
Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, IAS Probationer, Ravinder Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Pawan Parihar,  Executive Engineer PWD, Chief Medical Officer, District Panchayat Officer and other officers of various departments accompanied her on the tour.
Enroute,  the DDC inspected Panchayat Ghars Roun, Ritti, Bhatyari, works under Total Sanitation campaign at Trilla, works being executed under MG-NREGA like construction of minor khuls, ponds, bridle-paths  and houses under IAY taken up by Rural Development Department.
Mrs. Mudgal also inspected PMGSY roads including  Kaghaote-Kheen, Plassian-Bainsta and enquired about the progress of others PMGSY Projects, quality of mid-day meals being provided to school children.
The DDC issued on the spot instructions to officers concerned for completion of ongoing works with in the stipulated time frame without compromising on their quality leaving no scope of any complaint from any quarter.
Several deputations of locals called on the DDC  during her visit and put forth various problems and demands for their redressal. She assured the people of all possible help from the district administration in mitigating their grievances. She also asked the people to cooperate with  the officers of departments in execution of works smoothly for their socio-economic transformation.
