SAMBA, May 21: In order to finalise the plan under Border Area Development Program at district level for 2015-16, a meeting was convened by District Development Commissioner Samba Sheetal Nanda here today.
CPO,ASP ,Deputy commandment BGF,ACD,Xen PHE,Xen PWD,Xen PDD and other district officers were present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on the various works to be undertaken at border areas under BADP at district level which includes works like construction of lane drain ,community facilitation centre, improving road connectivity, laying of PHE pipelines, creation of power sub stations and many other projects which were prepared in consultation with public representatives.
DDC threw light on BADP by saying that work should be taken up in areas falling within 0-5km of border areas and after their saturation ,it should be extended further to 5-10km ,10-15km and so on.
DDC issued directions to officers to work with strict adherence to guidelines of BADP so that the desired benefits reach beneficiaries of border areas. She also directed officers to ensure quality and transparency during execution.
