SAMBA, May 19: Continuing its drive against the violators, the Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today raided a sweet shop in industrial area of Bari Brahmana which was operating illegally during the lockdown and sold adulterated milk products among the local labourers.
He (DC) immediately sealed the shop and a case under relevant section of CrPC was registered against the owner of the shop for selling outdated ice cream, fruit drinks, sweets and other milk products. During the inspection, the DC Samba found that these adulterated milk products were being sold to local labourers by M/s Janta Sweet Shop.
According to the report, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Vikas Gupta, SDM Vijaypur, CP Kotwal and other officers of Revenue and police were also present during the visit.
DC Samba has issued strict advisory to all the sweet shops owners to destroy all the adulterated milk products immediately and maintain proper hygienic condition around the shops. He also directed the SDMs to constitute surveillance teams in the district and submit weekly action report in his office.
