DC Reasi sends off labourers with food, sweets, toys

KATRA, May 28: Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib today saw off a train carrying stranded labourers to their respective states from Railway Station Katra here today.
Senior Suprintendent of Police, Rashmi Wazir was also present at the occasion.The labourers were sent off by the Deputy Commissioner with hygienically packed food packets and water bottles. Each family has been provided enough food to last through the journey.
The Deputy Commissioner has also paid particular attention towards sanitation and cleanliness of the trains as well as the Railway Station. Water bottles and biscuits were also served to the labourers in the waiting room. Moreover, with contribution by NGO Muskaan, toys and sweets were also gifted to little kids.
The UP bound train was 19th of many such trains departed earlier to various states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh. More than 30000 labourers, including kids have left for their respective states by special trains from Railway Station Katra arranged by the UT administration till date.
