DRASS, June 17: Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho today conducted an extensive tour of Shimsha and Kharboo villages of the District to assess developmental requirements, review the status of public service delivery and interact directly with local residents regarding their grievances and developmental aspirations.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Drass, Vishal Atri, along with District and Sectoral Officers including Block Development Officer, Bhimbat, Shahid Sultan; Block Veterinary Officer, Dr. Ameen Naqvi; Agriculture Extension Officer, Stanzin Idong; Zonal Education Officer, Mohammad Ibrahim; Assistant Executive Engineer, PW(R&B), Zakir Hussain; Assistant Executive Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control, Mamjaz Hassan; Assistant Executive Engineer, PDD, Mohammad Ali; Tehsil Supply Officer, Bhimbat, Mohammad Syed Mir; representative of Block Medical Officer, Drass and other officials.

During the visit to Shimsha, the Deputy Commissioner held a public interaction at the Panchayat Ghar where local residents welcomed the visiting Officers and projected various developmental issues and public concerns. The residents highlighted demands related to road connectivity, augmentation of drinking water supply, improvement of public infrastructure and other essential services. They specifically highlighted the poor quality of the ongoing work on the various limbs of the link road in the village as well as the slow pace of work on the bridge. The Deputy Commissioner listened to all grievances, discussed them with the Officers present passed instructions for early resolution and necessary action.

Throughout the tour, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the District Administration towards ensuring accessible governance, responsive public service delivery and inclusive development.

He assured the residents that their concerns would receive due attention and that developmental initiatives would continue to be pursued in a coordinated and time-bound manner.

The local residents expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner and accompanying officers for visiting their villages and engaging directly with the public.

They appreciated the administration’s outreach efforts and expressed hope that such interactions would continue in the future for effective resolution of local issues and accelerated development of the area.
