Srinagar, June 1:In a bid to act upon the directions of High Court for chopping of Russian poplars, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Yasha Mudgal today convened a meeting of officers at Dak-Bunglow here.
An official spokesman said the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDMs, Tehsildars and various from different departments.
While emphasizing upon the officers, the DDC directed for acting upon the direction on priority basis and said that such a move will protect the people from various pollen borne diseases. The DDC also sought coordination and cooperation among officers so that process may get executed in short moment of time.
Meanwhile, the DDC also urged upon concerned SDMs and Tehsildars to initiate the process of removal of encroachments in their respective areas. She also directed the Revenue officials to do the same on priority basis and assured of all possible assistance.
“Earlier it was expressed through a power point presentation that online portal of Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) has been created in the district so the people from different regions of the district can access to the portal and get their grievances disposed off the spokesman added.
