JAMMU, Dec 30: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Bar Association Jammu and Sumit Nayyar seeking various development activities around court complex, Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today issued direction to the State.
After hearing both the sides, the DB observed, “an affidavit by the Director (Coordination) Planning and Development Department has been filed stating that an amount of Rs 1.09 crore is expected to be released by January 2015 for the construction of lawyers’ chambers and the same shall be given to the service provider on its receipt”.
DB directed that latest status of the receipt of funds be made available to the court on next date of hearing and fixed February 4, 2015 for consideration of release of funds and all other issues.
