JAMMU, Dec 31: In the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding regulation of traffic in Jammu, Division Bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Hasnain Massodi today modified the order of status-quo with regard to a parking place near Van Bhawan.
After hearing Advocate Adarsh Sharma appearing for JDA, DB modified the order of status-quo with regard to a parking place near Van Bhawan as court counsel Senior Advocate DC Raina pointed out that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the order of status-quo alive which was passed by the Writ Court.
Keeping in view the larger public interest and the completion of the parking lot, the DB directed that the same may be utilized as per the requirement and this order shall be without pre-judice to the inter-se rights of the parties.
Earlier, Senior AAG Gagan Basotra filed two compliance reports supported by affidavits of SSP Jammu and SSP Traffic Jammu.
