JAMMU, Dec 5: In order to get clear pictures of the situation prevailing in the schools and colleges in Jammu periphery areas about menstrual health and hygiene, Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh and Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi has appointed a Commission consisting of Advocate Saba Atiq, Anuja Barooah and Unnati Sharma (Law Interns).
The DB further directed that the Commission to visit the schools and colleges of Jammu periphery areas and submit a report about the conditions of menstrual health and hygiene of the institutions as well as the awareness programs being conducted by the Union Territory of J&K and Ladakh under the National Health Mission Scheme.
The DB further directed the Director of National Health Mission to provide necessary conveyance to the Commission and also pay Rs 5000 to each member of the Commission.
