Daultabad dewatering station to be commissioned soon :Sagar

SRINAGAR, June 30: The Daultabad dewatering station constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 1.70 crore could be commissioned soon, so that the people living in the area and its catchment could get benefit from the same.
This was stated by the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar while on extensive tour of the Srinagar city. He was accompanied by senior officers of different departments including UEED, R&B, SMC, LAWDA,PDD and PHE.
Mr Sagar said that the dewatering station would go a long way in redressing the water logging and other problems being faced by the people living in the area and its different catchments. He directed the officers to ensure its commissioning by ending July.
The Minister also directed the officers to undertake the work on different foot bridges of the Miskeenbagh area for the convenience of the people living in the area. He said that the Government is committed to provide every facility to people so that they do not face any difficulty viz-a-viz connectivity and other related things.
Mr. Sagar also inspected the pace of work on Daultabad community hall being constructed by SMC. He directed the officers for early completion of the same so that the people of the area get the requisite infrastructural facility for their social and other related functions.
The Minister also directed the officers to speed up the pace on various other developmental programmes undertaken by the Government for the welfare of the people. He said that time bound completion of these prestigious projects should be ensured so that the people of Srinagar city get benefited from these.
The Minister while interacting with the people at different localities said that the Government is committed for overall and sustained development of the Srinagar city, adding that in this regard several projects have been under taken for ensuring need based and sustain development of the Srinagar city. He said that the orders have already been passed down the line to ensure that these are completed within the shortest possible time, saying that people should actively involve themselves in their implementation so that an effective feedback is received about the status of their execution.
