JAMMU, Oct 4: Dashmesh Hockey Club defeated Khalsa Hockey Club in the finals of First Olympian Balbir Singh Memorial Hockey tournament and lifted the title, organised by Hockey J&K at KK Hakku Stadium, here today.
In the 60 minutes match, both the teams were at equal score (3-3) and the match was decided in shootout method, wherein Dashmesh HC emerged winners.
Rajinder Singh (senior vice-president Hockey J&K) was the chief guest, whereas Adv Ishant Sharmq was guest of honour along with Gurpreet Singh, Tajinder Singh, Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi, Iqbal Singh NIS Hockey coach and Jay Kumar.
The match was officiated by Jaspreet Singh, Sahil Kumar and Angat Singh, which was organised under the overall supervision by organising secretary, Tejinder Singh (Residence Secretary Hockey J&K).
