‘Cyber Crime Awareness’ competition held

JAMMU, Mar 6: A poster making competition was organized by Range Police Headquarters Batote at Government Model HSS Batote on “Cyber Crime Awareness” under the operation Pathshala, today.
DIG DKR Range Dr Sunil Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion, while SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma, Principal of host School Swarn Singh, Chairman Municipal Committee Batote Ravinder Singh, vice chairman Kewal Krishan, Retired Headmaster Lekh Raj Goswami and teachers and students from different schools were present during the event.
About 300 students remained present on the occasion which was organised to educate the students and public regarding Cyber Crime, while 39 students participated in this competition held in junior and senior categories.
In junior category, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were won by Sejal Kotwal of SDS School, Jyoti Devi of GGHS Batote and Isha Sharma of SDS School Batote respectively, whereas in senior category, the first three prizes were clinched by Sajjad Hussain, Sumakshi Sharma of Govt Model HSS Batote and Vridhi Gupta of GGHS Batote respectively. Mementos and certificates were given to the winners and certificates of participation were also distributed to all the participants.
KK Gandhi, a renowned artist/painter of J&K also displayed his skills of painting. He also interacted with the budding artists/participants and students regarding the basics of painting.
DIG DKR Range in his brief lecture appreciated the role of participants and shared his views on the latest modus operandi of cyber criminals and also aware them to be extra cautious while operating with digital transactions/use of social media etc, while SSP Ramban also shared her views on cyber crime.
Principal of the School lauded the efforts of Police especially DIG Headquarters Batote for arranging such a programme which is very educative and informative.
