CRPF takes Pulwama students on ‘Apna Watan’ tour

SRINAGAR, Mar 24: In execution of its splendid vision and a noble endeavour to familiarize students of Kashmir with the cultural heritage of their Nation, 182 BN CRPF today Flagged-off “Bharat Darshan Tour” for 25 students and two teachers of Chandgaon, Pulwama.
The flagging off ceremony was organized under overall supervision of Amit Kumar Singh, Commandant 182 BN CRPF.
The tour comprised educational excursion to places like Amritsar, Chandigarh and Delhi to acquaint students of Kashmir with the cultural heritage and glorious history of India under “Apna Watan” campaign.
The event was presided over by  A S Negi, DIG CRPF, South Kashmir (Ops) Range in the presence of Niraj Kumar (IAS),  Rayees Mohd Bhat  (IPS), Supdt  of Police Pulwama, and other Officers of CRPF and  J&K Police.
While addressing the students and staff members of School, A S Negi emphasized on the significance of this familiarization cum educational excursion to places bearing National and International Importance. He said, “Such kind of noble educational tours will serve as an experiential learning for these young Kashmiri students and will substantially contribute to their intellect, understanding and knowledge about Indian Values.”
Voicing his opinion on Police Public Relations, he said, “CRPF is always committed to develop strong bond with the people of Kashmir, particularly with youths and will always strive for their better future in whatever way it can.”
