JAMMU, May 9: A constable of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was crushed to death tonight by a truck in Shakti Nagar area of Jammu.
According to a police official, CRPF constable Arjun Singh (32) son of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Marchangi (Khour), was on the way to his home on a bike when while overtaking a truck his bike slipped and he along with his bike came under rear tyre of the truck and died on the spot.
“The mishap occurred on Jammu-Akhnoor Road near Shakti Nagar around 9:40 tonight,” a police official said, adding the body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu while Talab Tillo police had taken cognizance of the matter.
