Crime Branch produces challan against impersonator in land deal case

JAMMU, Aug 28: Crime Branch Jammu produced challan against a female impersonator, who along with co-accused, fraudulently prepared fake General Power of Attorney and got the same registered in order to grab more than 19 kanals of land at village Ghag Jalo, tehsil Dasuya, district Hoshyarpur in Punjab to cause wrongful gain to themselves and wrongful loss to the complainant.
Accused Kunti Devi, wife of Gulab Singh of Garkhal, tehsil Akhnoor district Jammu, in furtherance of a criminal conspiracy with co-accused Shamsher Singh son of Tarlok Singh of Galowal, tehsil Dasuya, Punjab, fraudulently prepared fake General Power of Attorney and got the same registered before the Sub-Registrar, Akhnoor vide power of attorney No. 244 dated 30.09.2014 in order to grab the land under Khewat No. 57/49, Khatoni No. 70 measuring 19 kanals and 04 marlas, situated at village Ghag Jalo, Dasuya, Punjab.
The accused appeared before the court as an impersonator, pretending to be actual owner of the land namely Kunti Devi, daughter of Naseeb Singh and wife of Atama Singh, resident of tehsil and district Samba , who later lodged a written complaint in this regard.
On receipt of the complaint a preliminary verification was conducted in Crime Branch Jammu and accordingly case FIR No. 65/2015 U/S 420, 465, 467, 468, 471,120-B RPC was registered in Crime Branch, Jammu for in-depth investigation. During the course of investigation, allegations were proved against the accused Kunti Devi, wife of Gulab Singh of Garkhal and Shamsher Singh (now expired) son of Tarlok Singh of Galowal, Dasuya, Punjab.
Challan of the case was produced against the accused in the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Akhnoor.
