COVID-19: J&K Govt declares holiday on March 24

JAMMU:  The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday declared March 24 as holiday in all government offices, in view of Novel Coronavirus, as March 23 and 25 are already gazetted holidays.
Principal Secretary Rohit Kansal, who is also the government spokesperson, posted on his Twitter handle on Sunday afternoon, ”Ongoing #COVID pandemic; Govt declares holiday in all offices on Tuesday March 24…Monday March 23 and Wednesday March 25 already holidays.”
”Essential services to continue undisturbed,” he wrote. March 23 is holiday on account of Shab-i-Miraj, while March 25 will be holiday on account of first Navratra.
Jammu on Sunday observed ”Janata Curfew” since early morning and people stayed indoors. (AGENCIES)
