Cover dangerous manholes

There are two manholes of the size of 5ft×5ft existing on Upper Chinore road before road turning point leading to Laxmipuram. One of  manholes was covered by ERA two years ago. Other manhole existing about 40 ft away in centre of the road was left without cover although we had approached PHE/ERA authorities but to no avail. This manhole has become death trap for vehicular traffic/unsafe for public. A number of accidents have already taken place in the past two years. Concerned authorities are requested to check it again and cover the manhole as early as possible in the interest of public safety.

Ply more buses in Udhampur
With the unprecedented expansion of education and other facilities such as upgradation of roads  across the state, large number of employees commute to such places daily, where they had to stay put in the past to perform their duties. Many employees pool their resources to hire private vehicles to take them to and fro their places of work. Those who cannot afford to do so or find it inconvenient have to travel in public transport in buses and minibuses which are generally overcrowded. As a result, many employees and other passangers, especially the female ones have to face a lot of hardships. Sometimes, this overcrowding leads to unfortunate incidents such as accidents and loss of precious lives. Therefore, it is imperative that the Government should press more buses and minibuses on routes which have more concentration of Government employees and  which face overcrowding. Thus, SRTC buses can be pressed into service, exclusively for employees on normal fare from the District Headquarters to routes not adequately covered by public transport. One such route where a large number of employees hailing from Jammu/Udhampur/Samba serve is Mansar/Majalta-Billawar region.More buses from Jammu to Billawar and from Udhampur to Billawar need to be introduced  as it is the region which has employees from all these districts.A large number of employees serving in the Education, Revenue, Finance and other Departments are posted at Mansar, Majalta, Khoon, Ramkot etc. Most of these employees commute daily in overcrowded buses and face a lot of hardships, besides running the risk of accidents.
Moreover, this region has vast tourist potential.Tourist and religious spots such as Mansar lake, Ancient temples at Manwal, Chountra Mata shrine and  Swami Jagan Nath temple at Thial and Narsingh Temple at  Jansal attract a large number of tourists and their number can increase if road connectivity is improved and more buses are introduced on these routes. It is hoped that the concerned department will realize this problem of the employees and take steps in this direction.

Udhampur
Agriculture University Campus in Chenani
I would like to invite the attention of J&K State Govt. to open Campus-cum-Research Centre of Agriculture University (SKUAST) Jammu at Chenani.
It is pertinent to mention that Cehnani Sub-Division of Udhampur District has earned the title as vegetable hub of J&K State where more than fifty trucks of vegetable are produced daily for various veg. markets. Apart from vegetable the unique climate of Chenani Hill Tops is highly suitable for forming of potatos. The production of potatos has always remained the second major priority in the Agriculture Sector. We at Chenani had very tasty old varieties of potatos. Due to lack of research related facilities these ancient varieties of potatos vanished. The third priority of farmers is vast area cultivation and production of rice and maize in this area. The seeds produced in this area can be grown successfully in almost eighty percent area of the State. Chenani has good quality of soil for production of quality seeds of vegetables, potatos, rice and maize.  The irrigation facilities are available everywhere and more than sufficient land is available, if some Institute of Agriculture Research is opened here. It will be great success and highly beneficial. So State Govt. should open SKUAST-J Campus or KVK in Chenani to meet ever increasing demands of quality seeds in the State.

Release salary
We want to draw the attention of the Finance Minister towards the fact that we 10+2 lecturers, exempted from SRO 202 vide Cabinet order, have not received salary for last 10 months. As such we are facing many problems which one can easily perceive.
It is, therefore, requested that our salary be released at the earliest, so that we can carry on our duty smoothly.

Widen roads in Bhaderwah
The attention of the concerned authorities is drawn towards the clogged roads in Bhaderwah town. As traffic is increasing in the town at a rapid speed, the  already congested road network in this beautiful town is becoming difficult for drivers to ply their vehicles on these roads day in and day out. The frequent traffic jams are not only economically unviable but consume time of people and pollute this town.
The administration is requested to look into the matter and take steps accordingly.

Issue Ration Cards
More than one and a half years have gone, after the introduction of Centres ambitious “NFSA’ and the States ‘MMSFES’ schemes. In this regard, a section of Migrant Kashmiri Pandits (Govt employee/pensioner) non-relief category were asked to submit prescribed forms for issuance of fresh APL ration cards under the above schemes. This said APL cards we’re neither processed nor prepared for distribution amongst the migrants. But to save their skin from the inordinate delay, Relief Commissioner, Jammu again asked in March, 2017 these Kashmiri Pandits (non relief category) to submit similar forms afresh without assigning any reasons as to what happened to their previous forms. But till date no ration coards have been issued. God only knows the reason and the likely time it may take further.
It is, therefore, requested that APL ration cards may issued for non relief category without any further delay.
